Africollaboratory is led by a management team and advisory board committed to strengthening how research excellence moves into real-world application. The leadership brings experience across research ecosystems, enterprise development, finance, and global innovation systems, ensuring that the organization operates with both academic credibility and market awareness.

The management team provides strategic direction, institutional oversight, and operational coordination across all of Africollaboratory’s activities. Their role is to ensure that research partnerships, commercialization pathways, and capital deployment remain aligned with the organization’s mission and public purpose.

Obiora E. nwokoye

Executive Director

Obiora Nwokoye is an engineering and business development professional with experience in energy systems, industrial infrastructure, manufacturing, and operations management. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt, an MBA from Lagos Business School, and a Master of Advanced Management from Yale School of Management.

Alexandra Sing

Strategic Adviser - Impact Financing

Alexandra Sing brings deep expertise in portfolio management, investment strategy, nonprofit and social enterprise finance. She has experience with aligning capital with community outcomes, managing risk in impact-oriented investments, and advancing scalable models for social and economic inclusion. Alexandra holds an MBA from Yale School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Barnard College, New York.

Omotoyosi Q. obani

Programs Director

Omotoyosi Obani has a background in biochemical science, finance, and risk management. His blended experience drives design and coordination of research and innovation programs that bridge academia, industry, and public policy. He holds a BSc in Biochemistry (University of Ilorin), an MSc in Risk Management (University of Lagos), an MBA from HEC Paris, and a Master of Advanced Management from Yale University.

Adeyoola Adeniji

Strategic Adviser - Venture Financing

Adeyoola Adeniji is a healthcare venture capital professional with experience spanning health systems innovation, operations, and investment strategy. Adeyoola brings a solid background in improving health outcomes through innovation, data-driven decision-making, and scalable impact. Her work focuses on identifying, evaluating, and supporting growth-stage healthcare companies. Adeyoola holds an MBA from Yale School of Management and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida.
